Driving IQ

Try taking this driving IQ test. Some of the questions are statistics questions, which is not going to give you a very good indication of how well you know what to do in specific driving situations, but the results may still surprise you. Enjoy. (By the way, I got only 4 of the 10 questions correct.)

I got 6 out of 10. I guess I'll be an average driver when I'm over 55...and I'll know what to look out for now.

I got 5 out of 10... I'll try to work on that before my 50's.

I guess I should have my license revoked or at least suspended. I got five wrong. You gotta be kidding me!!!! I am appealing some of their "wrong" answers!!!!

I only missed three- maybe I should do the majority of the driving in our family....hahahaha.

I got 7 out of 10. Not bad for a reckless driver such as myself.

That's not funny, Lisa.

These are also questions for those over 55, so they are making adjustments for slower reflex times, etc.

This question is particularly disturbing:
Q4: The best response to a "Roadwork Ahead" sign is to:
c) Slow down and look for the roadwork.
Roadwork almost always involves changes in traffic patterns and "at-work" highway crews. For your safety and theirs, it is best to always slow down and look for the roadwork and any shift or change of traffic pattern.

That is the worst thing to do. If the road crews have done their jobs right, you will receive ample warning before you have a change in traffic pattern. Slowing down (er, slamming on the brakes) causes more accidents than the construction does.
