Change Your World

[Disclaimer: This is a shameless plug.]

A few months ago, I helped to found a new organization dedicated to helping spread the word about simple things we can all do to make our world a better place. The whole project started out as a postcard project. We were taking these simple ideas and putting them on postcards. Why postcards? Because postcards are a wonderful way to keep in touch with people--even people you might not normally contact--and because we could put little messages on the postcards that would spread the ideas. The more we think of these simple things, the more we will be inclined to do them. For example, one of the ideas that is currently available is "Decide for yourself." The back of the postcard has a short paragraph describing the concept, along with space for your note and the address and stamp. It's easy to let others do our thinking for us--I struggle with this myself. The idea isn't that you have to be perfect--or even very good--at doing these things before you can send these cards to people. The idea is that you only have to acknowledge that it's a good idea to do these things. And that's part of the beauty of them.

We currently have a special offer: Free postcards. We will pay the shipping, too. You can get a pack of 14 postcards for free, and we will pay the shipping. If you would be interested in learning more about Change Your World or in taking us up on our offer for free cards, visit us at www.howtochangeyourworld.com. While you're there, you can sign up for our free monthly newsletter. The new issue is due out this week.

Thanks for visiting.

How do you guys do your newsletter mass e-mailing?

My company does mass e-mails, custom too (as in, Dear Josiah bla bla bla, by pulling from a DB), so if you're ever interested in doing something like that, let me know.
